Nietzsche once said, "If you look into an abyss, the abyss looks into you."
i was watching the truman show just a few hours back, and it really got me thinking.
This show is generally about a person, jim carrey, whose entire life is a tv show. Thing is, from the growing stages of an adolescent to an adult, he does not even know that his life is a sitcom, thinking everything is just like the real world, living it as it comes and go. Sunset to sunrise all stimulated. Plus, the people around him, in his life, his relationships, his work mates and even his best friend were all simply actors. Paid to generate revenues, paid to spoof his life, to make it a joke.
saddening isn't it, to be imprisoned in what we think is reality?
the worst that can actually happen, happened.
i was thinking,
what if really our lives were like that, that everything is all surreal and non-existent, manipulated to keep us in the show.
and,
if our best friends or even friends were all just good actors, paid to hear our whines and paid extra to go through the tough times with us.
And everything you lived for and worked for and even hoped for, was simply just shattered repeatedly by the director of the show.
what's worst that you don't even know.
imagine if the so called tangible love feeling you share with the other gender was script-written and planned, with the intention of introducing this female/male partner into your life to spice the show up.
what if, what if.
OKAY, i actually think, i think too much. Look's like this show really got me reflecting.
The Truben show. What's your ratings?
Anyways, moving out of this melodramatic thinking,
Happy sexy birthday hunk!
can you stop thinking for once that your birthday is an ordinary day. Its not. Anyways, stay happy and trust me, its always good to catwalk down orchard road when the green man is flashing and like how you made me sit on the floor in the middle of the crowded train at the best timing - peak period. You got me kicked by someone and almost trampled on! And i could tell, they were all pissed. Well, definitely was worth the embarrassing act as someone still owes me dinner. Wait, i dont think i want dinner, for the very fact that both of us are already fat massively huge creatures. And if you ask me what i'm going to get you for your present, i think an alarm clock would do you good. (:
having said that,
sincere apologies of not being able to celebrate with you tomorrow. But, wipe your tears, for i'll make it up to you on sunday (: Yes, keep it free.
cheers,
your sexy friend.
till then (:
