But I see the shadow behind that sparkle in your eyes,
and it’s enough to make me understand the reasons wars are waged;
not for hatred but for love.
At the same time it makes me want to be a better man.
I know we have been hurting, by the unsurmountable obstacles life drops us.
It is saddening when I see the darkness that you have to face,
and it breaks my heart even more that I can’t lift a finger to help you.
But there is a place without sorrow or pain,
and I find it in the most unlikely of places.
