Forgiveness.

Forgiveness is love, you know?

I've talked a lot about forgiveness. As you can imagine, people like me have to believe in it. But sometimes we don't. We conveniently forget about it and assume that forgiveness doesn't exist.

We go on to argue saying, there's simply what you do and how you pay for it. And sometimes we are so caught up with that and the mindset is whenever we practice whatever evil's in our hearts, or when you cheat, steal, lust, hate, gossip, covet or whatever it is that we do or we're planning to do or have done, we are deceived into thinking there is no forgiveness. We just hope for the best and embrace what comes next.

Take it from someone who's been there, who is there. Yes, there's pain, and guilt, and the misery of knowing who you are and what you did. But it doesn't stop there. There is also forgiveness, and grace, in which we need to realise that we have been called to a place of right standing with God, no longer bounded by whatever that holds us. We need to engage in a paradigm shift and get this epiphany, that at the end of the day, you have already been forgiven. Yes, no matter how guilty or sinful we are, we are forgiven. Simply put, it has no power over our lives now.

And if we can be forgiven, who are we not to forgive the trespasses committed by others against us. Just as how we are loved to love, blessed to be a blessing, encouraged to be an encouragment. Similarly, we are forgiven to forgive.

Forgiveness is love.

Army in two days, but i'm going in knowing and armed with the full comprehension of God's love, grace and promises. Bring. It. On.

The Lord has promised good to me
His word my hope secures.
He will my shield and portion be
as long as life endures.
